Document Controller

We are currently looking for a Document Control Coordinator who has the work ethic and drive to work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment. As an integral part of the project team, this person will be responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing documents related to engineering. The successful applicant should have 5 to 8 years of experience working in an engineering office (preference to oil & gas).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality checking, registering, classifying, managing, tracking, filing and transmitting of various electronic engineering documents.
  • Ensure that all documentation flowing through the office meets internal and client specifications.
  • Responding to queries (internally and externally) in a timely and professional manner.
  • Interface with the project team as required ensuring successful project completion.
  • Develop, implement, and update document control procedures and templates in line with company standards.
  • Vendor Data Management with expediting and tracking.
  • Filing and scanning of documents as required.
  • Interaction with the client document control as required.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and file management tools such as Autodesk Vault, Windows Explorer, Total Commander, and FTP programs.
  • Familiar with AutoCAD and Livelink.
  • At least 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • General understanding of engineering activities with respect to document management and control.
  • Ability to follow workflows and standards.
  • Detail oriented, dependable, and skilled in setting priorities.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or individually.

A competitive salary is being offered based on experience and education. Position is required Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with a one hour lunch break with the possibility of overtime as required.
