Project Engineer

Precision manages facility and pipeline projects in the upstream oil and gas industry. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for delivering quality engineering and consulting services to our clients on projects in a cost-effective manner. The engineer must be able to design facilities and pipelines according to current applicable codes and regulations. In addition, these projects can range from conceptual to detail engineering. Responsibilities would also include client relationship development, proposal development, regulatory engagement and project engineering.

We are currently looking for a detail oriented person who is passionate about quality and has the work ethic and drive to succeed in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Project management which includes, cost, scope and schedule.
  • Preparation of engineering deliverables including calculations, data sheets, specifications and drawing.
  • Requesting price quotations from vendors.
  • Creating material requisition forms and purchase orders.
  • Travel to various client sites.
  • Mentor junior engineers as required.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
  • Registered as a P.Eng or P.Tech.(Eng).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience (10 years preferred) in an applicable field is required. Preferably in Natural Gas and/or Heavy Oil processing.
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to prioritize and plan work.
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
